Get Ready for Your Appointment

To help prepare for your appointment, please read below.

Appointment Policy

Arriving late will deprive you of valuable treatment time. Although we aim to complete your entire session in the allotted time, tardiness of more than 10 minutes could result in rescheduling. For detailed information on fees please see our cancellation policy.

Cancellation/No Show Policy

At LeJeune we have a 48 hour cancellation/ no show policy in place to ensure guests can get in for appointments in a timely manner and to respect our providers time. Any appointment that no shows or cancels within 48 hours will have a $50 fee automatically charged to their credit card. If a client no shows or cancels 3 times, the client will then be required to prepay in full for future services at the time of booking appointment. The amount prepaid for is non refundable if the no show/cancellation is violated. If appointment has to be rescheduled and is done before 48 hours the amount paid will be credited for future services.
We respect our providers time as many are booked out sometimes weeks ahead. Last minute cancellations do not allow us time to fill those gaps. We appreciate your understanding of our cancellation policy. This will allow the LeJeune team to continue to provide the highest quality service for you and future patients, as well as our team members’ time.
By scheduling an appointment you are agreeing to our cancellation/no show policy.

Refund Policy

We do not offer refunds on any services rendered. Aesthetic results are variable from person to person and while we do our very best to achieve the desired outcome, it cannot be guaranteed.

Children

Here at LeJeune we love babies and children, however we ask that you please make childcare arrangements prior to your appointment. This ensures the safety of your children as well as a relaxing environment for all clients.

PRE & POST TREATMENT CARE

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Do NOT have any dental work one month before or after dermal filler injections. This includes, but is not limited to root canals, crowns, fillings, tooth extractions, dental implants, bridges, dentures, night guards, etc. This does not apply for Botox and Dysport injections.

Do NOT consume alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours prior to treatment (alcohol may thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising).

Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications, if possible, for a period of 3-7 days before treatment. Medications and supplements, such as aspirin, Vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, and other NSAIDS, have blood thinning effects and can increase the risk of bruising and swelling after injections. If your cardiologist or primary care physician has you on a blood thinner, you must obtain clearance from them prior to discontinuing. Tylenol can be used as it does not increase the risk of bruising.

Schedule your dermal filler and neuromodulator (Botox and Dysport) appointment at least one month prior to a special event, such as a wedding or vacation. Results from neuromodulator injections will take approximately 7 to 10 days to appear. Also, bruising and swelling may be apparent for several weeks. Sculptra takes longer to see results so plan accordingly with your provider.

Reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you have a rash, cold sore, or blemish on the area. If you are on antibiotics for or have an active infection, we will NOT treat you with dermal fillers.

If you have a history of cold sores, please let your provider know. They may put you on an anti-viral medication prior to treatment if you are having lip filler injections.

Arrive at our office with a clean face. Be sure to have a good meal, including food and drink, before your procedure. This will decrease the chances of lightheadedness during treatment.

You are not a candidate for dermal filler or neuromodulator injections if you are pregnant or breast feeding.

Do NOT receive facial/laser hair treatments 2 weeks prior to dermal fillers to decrease the risk of infection.

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS FOR BOTOX / DYSPORT

Do NOT manipulate the treated area for four hours following treatment. Do NOT receive facial/laser treatments or microdermabrasion after neuromodulator injections for at least 3 days. Ask your provider if you are not sure about the time frame of certain services.

Do NOT lie down flat, touch or rub the treated areas for 4 hours after your treatment. This will prevent the Botox/Dysport from diffusing into the eye area and causing a droopy eyelid.

It can take approximately 4 to 14 days for final results to be seen. It is recommended that a touch-up, if needed, be done no later than 2 weeks after initial treatment.

Do NOT perform activities involving straining, heavy lifting or vigorous exercise for 6 hours after treatment. This will help keep the Botox or Dysport in the injected area

POST-TREATMENT CARE FOR DERMAL FILLERS

Avoid significant movement or massage of the treated area unless instructed by the provider.

Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

Avoid extensive sun or heat for 72 hours.

Avoid consuming excess amounts of alcohol or salt for several days after treatment to avoid excess swelling.

If you have swelling, you may apply a cool compress for 15 minutes each hour. An antihistamine such as Claritin, Zyrtec, or Allegra may be helpful.

Avoid cosmetic treatments such as laser, ultrasound, peels, facials or microdermabrasion for 1-2 weeks after treatment with Botox or Dysport. Ask your provider for clarification on time frame between services.

Use Tylenol for discomfort.

Try to sleep face up and slightly elevated if you experience swelling.

Take Arnica to help the bruising and swelling. Start at least 2 days prior to injections. Bromelain, from pineapple, also helps bruising.

Do NOT receive facial/laser treatments for at least 2 weeks after treatment.

  •  Skin will feel tight or dry right before it peels.
  • Do no pick, pull, or roll the skin as this could lead to significant irritation and possible hyperpigmentation and scarring.
  • Peeling may look like flaking, sheet peeling, or may be barely visible to the naked eye. The amount of visible peeling you will experience varies greatly. You will peel as much as your skin needs to peel.
  • The amount of peeling usually depends on the type and strength of the peel. You will peel as much as your skin needs to peel.
  • Sometimes, the peeling isn’t visible. If there is no peeling after a VI Peel, it may be due to failure to use the towelettes as a part of the post care.

-This procedure may not be performed on active breakouts or open lesions. Please consult your provider prior to SkinPen procedure to address any such issues.

-Wait at least six months past isotretinoin (Zenatane, Absorica, Myorisan, Claravis and Amnesteem) use before your SkinPen procedure, as isotretinoin use may impair proper wound healing.

Post Treatment Care Instructions

To reduce the risk of unwanted side effects, it is imperative that these Aftercare Instructions are
followed implicitly.

Optimal results are only achieved by maintaining an undisturbed and DRY environment.

DO NOT over cool. Cooling stops the tightening effect and could damage the tissue.
Immediately after the treatment the skin was treated with the Subnovii Recovery Cream and the Recovery Powder.
Subnovii Aftercare Cream must be used for several days to ensure optimal healing and results.

Do not use any other creams or lotions.
(DO NOT use Bepanthenol/Bepanthen or anything similar – it is too fatty and prevents healing.)

Each morning and the evening (while scabs are present) apply a VERY THIN layer of the

Subnovii Aftercare Cream. Pat the cream on with clean fingers do NOT rub in or use a sponge.
Repeat this process if you feel that the skin requires moisturizing during the course of the day
and again in the evening.
Use the Dry/Dab/Dust method: Gently cleanse face with fingertips/Dry with cool air/Dab
recovery cream/Dust with recovery powder. Do not pick or rub the scabs.
Subnovii Downtime Reducer Powder should be used on top of the cream to absorb any excess
moisture and keep the scabs dry.
To treat temporary pain, 500mg of Acetaminophen may be taken. Aspirin MUST NOT be taken,
as this can cause more swelling. DO NOT take Ibuprofen or any other anti-inflammatory
medication.
‘Arnica 6c’ pullules can be used to treat swelling. Five capsules to be taken hour if necessary
until the swelling subsides.
As long as the scabs are present avoid the sun, sweating, sauna and steam rooms.

DO NOT intentionally remove the scabs. Every manipulation of the scabs can cause an adverse effect. They will fall off on their own within 3-7 days. This may take longer for smokers or those
taking medications.

While the scabs are present they should be kept dry. Should the scabs become wet, do not rub.

Use a hairdryer on the area until the crusts are dry. Apply Subnovii Aftercare Cream and Subnovii Downtown Reducer Powder directly afterwards.

The skin beneath the scabs is sensitive. The pinkish coloration may last up to 6 months.

When the scabs have fallen off, use a sunscreen with SPF 50 on the treated areas.

Avoid extreme sun exposure for 3 months and UV rays and extreme low temperatures for two weeks.

If the above instructions are not followed, pigment deviations and dark spots may occur.

Please note: depending on desired results, more than one treatment may be necessary.

Follow
up treatments may only be performed 12-16 weeks after the previous treatment as the collagen
fibers are still contracting and the skin is very sensitive.

coolpeel

Congratulations on completing your Coolpeel treatment! CO2 lasers are the gold standard in treating wrinkles, age spots, acne scars, and other blemishes as well as tighten skin and balance tone. Damaged skin tissue is removed, or ablated, stimulating new collagen production and heat energy is delivered to tighten the skin. Sounds great but CO2 treatments are often accompanied by considerable downtime and risk while damaged skin heals.

While many advances have been made to improve the side effects of CO2 treatments, ONLY your Coolpeel treatment will deliver a fractional ablative treatment without the downtime. There is minimal risk of hyperpigmentation, demarcation or
induced infection and below is what you can expect.

Post Treatment Care:

  • Patient should feel a warm / sunburn sensation for about an hour post treatment.
  •  A thin layer of Aquaphor should be used on the treated area.
  • Keep the area hydrated with Aquaphor. Do not let the skin dry out.
  • Sleep with a clean pillow case and head slightly elevated
  • Avoid sun exposure, intense workouts and sweating.
  • Avoid touching or cleaning the area for 24 hours.
  • Skin should feel rough like sandpaper for 3-4 days post treatment.
  • Mineral Makeup can be reapplied 24-48 hours post treatment.
  • A cool misting spray may be used for comfort, if needed.
  • Coolpeel can be repeated on a monthly basis until desired results are achieved.

Makeup Application Post Treatment

It is best recommended to leave your skin without any make-up for at least 24 hours. You can then utilize mineral makeup to ensure you maintain clear pores, allowing your skin to breathe and heal properly over time.

Anticipated Downtime

One of the main benefits of a Coolpeel, is that there is minimal downtime. You should expect to be a little red, as if you have
a sunburn, for a day, or two, but nothing should prevent you from returning to your normal daily activities. Your skin may
feel dry and scaly as it heals so it is important to keep the skin hydrated.

Pre-Treatment Instructions

  • No use of glycolic or Retin-A products over the area to be treated one week before
  • No tanning (self tanner, tanning beds, etc.) 3-4 weeks prior to appointment
  • No waxing or tweezing 3-4 weeks prior to appointment. You must shave prior to treatment
  • No lotions, body oils, perfumes or make up in the areas to be treated.
  • No photo-light sensitive medications at least 10 days before treatment.
  • If you have a history of herpes in the area to be treated, you will need to take a prescribed
antiviral medication to prevent an outbreak.

    Post-Treatment Instructions
  • Apply ice packs or cool compresses to treated area the evening of treatment. Redness, slight swelling and tenderness are normal occurrences after treatment and should subside by the
    following morning.
  • Do not take a hot shower, soak in a hot tub, whirlpool or sauna or perform excessive exercise the day of treatment. Mild soap and cool water should be used if showering is necessary.
  • Do not use glycolic or Retin-A products over the treated area for one week after treatment.
  • If excessive itching occurs, an antihistamine such as Benadryl may be taken as directed 1-3 days as necessary.
  • 3-5 days after treatment the hair left under the skin will begin to shed. When the area is no longer sensitive, wash the area with a washcloth or loofah brush to help the dead hair work its way out of
the skin. This helps to remove dead skin cells so dead hair is able to shed out of the follicle
    easier.
  • It may take 1-3 weeks for dead hairs to shed out of follicles.
  • Do not tweeze, pick or rub the area the day of treatment. Keep hands off treated area.
  • Makeup should be avoided for 24 hours after treatment. Mineral makeup is the only makeup permitted immediately after treatment.
  • No direct sunlight for one week after treatment. Be sure to apply sunscreen between treatments.
  • If the skin in the treated area develops a brown crust do not rub it. Allow it to fall off naturally.
In rare cases you may develop blisters. Do not pick or remove the scabs. Apply antibiotic
ointment (Polysporin, Bactroban, Fucidin or Hydrocortisone) twice daily until healed. If you go into the sun or cold, cover the site with a non-stick dressing such as Telfa pads. The area will heal in 5-7 days.
  • In case of further questions after treatment, please call our office.
  • For optimum results, it is imperative that you keep all of your appointments
